Cemex delivered grants to more than 80 non-profit organizations across the country to help provide food, safety, shelter and education to communities impacted by the pandemic.
The grants are delivered through the Cemex Foundation, the company’s philanthropic arm.
According to Cemex, the donations provided funding for more than 250,000 meals to more than 200,000 people across Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, California, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas. Additionally, the grants also helped provide financial relief for those in need; shelter and education programs; and more than 20,000 pieces of personal protective equipment for medical professionals and first responders.
Among the non-profit organizations awarded grants from the Cemex Foundation are United Way of Central Alabama; Feeding South Florida; Feed the Frontline Houston; Lyons Emergency Assistance Fund; House of Refuge; and Heart of Los Angeles Youth.
