
Keestrack launched its R5e hybrid impact crusher unit, which is a diesel-electric version of its 350-tph all-around model.
According to the company, the R5e has a highly efficient 5,100 kg rotor driven directly by its 345 kw Volvo six-cylinder diesel engine. The machine’s operating hydraulics power the lifting cylinders on the chassis and conveyor belts, track drive, vibrating discharge chute, double-deck primary screen and double-deck post-screen module.
The Keestrack R5e unit, which has a total additional weight of 500 kg compared with the diesel-hydraulic version, can be deployed quickly at building sites, the company says.
The machine comes equipped with a Relytec control unit, which starts up the system components and uses load and level sensors to optimize production rates and quality. In addition, all system functions can be controlled by radio remote, and the optional Keestrack-er GPS/UMTS monitor documents all functions and provides information on maintenance work.
The R5e does not offer plug-in network operation, but it can drive connected screens or stockpile conveyors. According to Keestrack, practical tests have shown that the R5e reduces fuel consumption by up to 45 percent compared with diesel-hydraulic models.
