Schenck Process released its first mobile application, vibe2know.

According to the company, the app allows users to determine a vibrating machine’s performance, which can help them avoid issues such as production outages.

Users insert their smartphones into a mount specifically designed for the app. They then must place the mount, which has a magnet on its reverse side, on the machine. The app then immediately measures the vibratory amplitude, frequency, and oscillating and operating speed of the machine, the company says.

“I am thrilled with vibe2know, it is a good example of how our established development team and future lab complement one another within our company,” says Andreas Evertz, president and CEO of Schenck Process. “Our speed in achieving this project and getting a product to market is exactly why we set up our future lab. This sets a great precedent for future projects.”

vibe2know is available via app stores for iOS, Android and Windows. It includes a brief tutorial.

Schenck Process is a global technology company that develops and manufactures solutions for weighing, feeding, conveying, screening, automation and air filtration applications.
