Komatsu America Corp. showcased the WA600-8 wheel loader at MINExpo International, which released earlier in 2016. Equipped with a 529 hp Tier 4 Final certified engine, the WA600-8 wheel loader combines an enhanced lockup torque converter function and SmartLoader logic to achieve low fuel consumption and high travel speeds.
According to Komatsu, the WA600-8 consumes 13 percent less fuel than its Tier 3 predecessor. The company also increased its bucket capacity to 9.2 cu. yd. so that it fills easier, retains material better and provides better visibility.
“The WA600-8 is designed to maximize production efficiency in loading off-highway trucks or load-and-carry applications,” says Rob McMahon, product manager for Komatsu America. “Full rear fenders with steps and handrails at both sides of the machine add convenience for daily inspections, and operators will appreciate enhancements in the cab for comfort and machine stability.”
In addition, the loader’s cab features an air-suspension, high-back heated seat that softens machine vibrations for increased operator comfort.
