The Ohio Aggregates & Industrial Minerals Association (OAIMA) reported record attendance and vendors at its 2025 Annual Meeting.
The meeting, held Nov. 13-14 at the Hilton at Easton in Columbus, Ohio, attracted 710 registrants and featured 97 vendors on-site. Additionally, the association awarded $10,000 in scholarships – another record for OAIMA.
The show featured presentations and speakers, including Emily Coyner, senior director of environmental policy at the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association, and George Reddin, managing director at FMI Capital Advisors.
Friday’s closing session was capped by a keynote speech from Vivek Ramaswamy, a 2024 presidential candidate and current Ohio gubernatorial candidate. Ramaswamy talked about his upbringing – raised in Cincinnati before attending St. Xavier High School and earning degrees from Harvard University and Yale Law School – his plans should he be elected as Ohio’s governor and fielded questions from attendees.
