Kadant completed the integration of Vayeron, a smart conveyor monitoring technologies provider, following its 2024 acquisition.

Vayeron was integrated into Kadant’s material handling segment.

According to Kadant, Vayeron first developed smart conveyor monitoring technology in 2014. Vayeron’s Smart-Idler platform is an autonomous roller condition monitoring solution enabling 24/7 wireless monitoring of conveyor rollers.

The platform’s technology helps operators minimize downtime, reduce manual inspections and mitigate fire risk. Vayeron’s solutions are used in bulk material handling applications across mining, ports and process industries.

“Vayeron’s leading-edge technologies support Kadant’s strategy to expand our industrial IoT capabilities and deliver intelligent solutions to our customers,” says Jeffrey Powell, president and CEO of Kadant. “Their capabilities complement our material handling solutions and strengthen our ability to provide data-driven insights that improve operational efficiency.”

Adds Ryan Norris, president of Vayeron: “We’re proud that our wireless monitoring innovation and numerous installations have become a valuable part of a global industry leader. Kadant’s commitment to advanced technologies and operational excellence supports our mission to accelerate the global reach of our Smart-Idler technology. Together, we help customers turn critical process equipment into data-rich assets that drive performance and safety.”
