Douglas Rulmeca opened a new manufacturing facility in Pell City, Alabama, that increases the company’s production capabilities – particularly in idlers and related conveyor components.
Dubbed Project Vulcan, Douglas Rulmeca characterizes its new, state-of-the-art facility as “the most ambitious expansion in its history.”
Douglas Rulmeca held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the milestone. Company executives attended the ceremony along with Alabama local and state officials, customers, suppliers and Rulmeca Group employees.
“This ribbon cutting is more than the opening of a new building – it’s a celebration of where we’ve been, what we’ve built and where we’re going,” says Paul Ross, president and CEO of Douglas Rulmeca. “Project Vulcan strengthens our position in the global market while deepening our roots right here in Pell City. We’re proud to invest in American manufacturing and to do so in a way that brings lasting benefits to our employees, our customers and our community.”
Douglas Manufacturing was founded in Pell City in 1991. Rulmeca Group acquired the company in 2023.
