In-motion tech keeps truck on the move

According to Rice Lake Weighing Systems, its Survivor OTR-IMS in-motion truck scale system cuts emissions by shortening truck idle time and eliminating lines of trucks waiting to be weighed. The company says the system can also reduce maintenance by limiting truck braking and improving site safety by allowing drivers to complete transactions from their cabs. The system consists of a 1280 Enterprise Series weight indicator (pictured) with legal-for-trade, in-motion software. Rice Lake combines it with the LaserLight3 remote display, a speed sensor and a Survivor OTR truck scale.

The WY15, WY25 and WY45 belt scales from Tecweigh feature single-, dual- and four-idler versions to meet or exceed accuracy requirements. Self-storing calibration weights make routine checks easy and safe, the company says. The scale systems are built for the harsh conditions commonly encountered in aggregates.
